New York Spine Institute’s licensed physical therapist, Michael Friar, D.P.T., is here to provide you with exceptional physical therapy treatment. You will be taught and assisted on proper stretching, exercise, and manual therapy while with us. We want our patients to fully understand their condition and the reason behind their treatment, which is why we teach them about their bodies mechanics, postural awareness, and exercises that can be done at home. We aim to help each patient heal and avoid any further injury.
Led by Michael Friar, D.P.T., physical therapy patients at New York Spine Institute will receive quality care based off of their specific needs. After being evaluated by one of our licensed physical therapists to determine levels of mobility, pain, and restrictions they may start a program here. Magnetic Resonance Imaging (MRI) are a top tool for diagnosing the cause of neck and back pain. They use magnetism and radio waves to produce detailed images that can show certain conditions that may go unnoticed on other forms of tests like x-rays, ultrasounds or CT Scans (Computed Tomography).*
Our priority is to cater to each patients needs. During your MRI we will do everything we can to create a calming environment and do so by providing you with earplugs, a sleeping mask, and your choice of music.
This facility also offers a digital radiography department. With this department, the captured images are digitized and our radiologists analyze bone and some soft tissue anatomy for diagnosis. We also offer patients Long Length Imaging (LLI) for proper scoliosis testing.
