IMAGING SERVICES FOR THORNWOOD PATIENTS

Magnetic Resonance Imaging (MRI) is a revealing tool useful for diagnosing many conditions. It is safe, painless, and noninvasive and helps our medical staff at NYSI uphold our mission to provide patients with comfort and care. With our digital radiology department radiologists can further analyze images for bone and soft tissue anatomy. With the help of diagnostic imaging we continue to present customized and comprehensive treatment plans to our Thornwood patients.

New York Spine Institute offers modern diagnostic imaging: a high field short bore 1.5T MRI system and Digital Radiography (DX) x-ray for our patients in Thornwood.

The high field short bore 1.5T MRI system can support a variety of clinical applications which may include MRI’s of the Spine, Brain, Abdomen, Pelvis, Shoulder, Knee, Hip, Elbow, Wrist, Hand, Ankle and Foot.*

Using the advanced GE 1.5T system our physicians can use these high quality, detailed pictures of anatomy and pathology to help evaluate a variety of musculoskeletal disorders.

Magnetic Resonance Imaging (MRI) are a top tool for diagnosing the cause of neck and back pain. They use magnetism and radio waves to produce detailed images that can show certain conditions that may go unnoticed on other forms of tests like x-rays, ultrasounds or CT Scans (Computed Tomography).*

Our priority is to cater to each patients needs. During your MRI we will do everything we can to create a calming environment and do so by providing you with earplugs, a sleeping mask, and your choice of music.

This facility also offers a digital radiography department. With this department, the captured images are digitized and our radiologists analyze bone and some soft tissue anatomy for diagnosis. We also offer patients Long Length Imaging (LLI) for proper scoliosis testing.
