Imaging Services For Beacon Patients
Magnetic Resonance Imaging (MRI) is widely used for the diagnosis of many conditions. It allows NYSI to uphold its mission of treating patients with comfort because it is safe and noninvasive. Our digital radiology department allows our radiologist to analyze images for bone and soft tissue anatomy. The diagnostic imaging at NYSI provides care individualized for each patient with state-of-the-art diagnostics.
New York Spine Institute has the most up-to-date diagnostic imaging: a high field short bore 1.5T MRI system and Digital Radiography (DX) x-ray for our patients in Beacon.
The high field short bore 1.5T MRI system supports a variety of clinical applications including but not limited to MRI’s of the Spine, Brain, Abdomen, Pelvis, Shoulder, Knee, Hip, Elbow, Wrist, Hand, Ankle and Foot.*
New York Spine Institute’s brand new GE 1.5T system lets our physicians work with high quality, detailed pictures of anatomy and pathology to help assess a wide range of musculoskeletal disorders.
The benefits Magnetic Resonance Imaging (MRI) have made it become extremely valuable for diagnosing a wide range of conditions. It is a safe, painless, non-invasive exam that uses magnetism and radio waves to create detailed images that can be used to evaluate many different parts of the body and determine if patients have certain diseases which may not be detectable with other imaging methods such as x-ray, ultrasound or CT (Computed Tomography).*
One of our main goals is to make sure each patient feels they are treated with individualized care and comfort. We accomplish this by providing a relaxing and calming environment with choice of music, earplugs and sleeping mask to make you feel at home and at ease.
Our location serving Beacon also has a digital radiography department. In this medium, the captured images are digitized so the radiologist can then evaluate the bone and some soft tissue anatomy for an accurate diagnosis. We also provide Long Length Imaging (LLI) for appropriate scoliosis assessment.
