Before we even diagnose you, we listen carefully and test thoroughly so they we are able to recommend any sort of back or neck pain treatment. “I was having severe chronic back pain daily. This went on for almost fifteen years. As soon as I met Dr. Macagno I said, “that’s the guy.” I eventually had a spinal fusion L4/5 and S1. This was a ten-hour procedure. I exceeded both Dr. Macagno and the hospital staff expectations. Instead of walking a few steps, I easily walked the full length of the hospital halls and climbed stairs almost immediately after surgery. I am so happy to have met Dr. Macagno. I sing his praises every day and I always post on social media about how amazing I am doing every year on the anniversary of my surgery.”

Dr.v is a great doctor !!! From day one he has accessed and managed my pain while acknowledging me not only as his patient but as a person as well. Every Dr office should have a Dr. V and the world for patients with pain would be a much better place. I haven’t had a Dr this great since Dr de Mourra who did my surgery In 2013. Thank you Dr de Mourra for referring me to a pain management dr who really cares for my needs as his patient. It has been a tough road . I can now honestly say the road I travel now as a pain patient is much smoother and manageable. Thank you Dr v and NYU.

IMAGING SERVICES FOR JACKSON HEIGHTS PATIENTS
In order to diagnose many conditions, Magnetic Resonance Imaging (MRI) can be very useful. This process helps NYSI to uphold its mission of treating patients with comfort while still being very safe and noninvasive. From this, the radiologist is allowed by the digital radiology department to analyze images for bone and soft tissue anatomy. As well as state-of-the-art diagnostics, NYSI diagnostic imaging provides individualized care as well. A high field short bore 1.5T MRI system and Digital Radiography (DX) x-ray for our patients in Jackson Heights is the state-of-the-art diagnostic imaging that New York Spine Institute offers. Including a wide range of clinical applications, the high field short bore 1.5T MRI system supports, but is not limited to MRI’s of: the Spine, Brain, Abdomen, Pelvis, Shoulder, Knee, Hip, Elbow, Wrist, Hand, Ankle and Foot.*
When diagnosing a broad range of conditions, Magnetic Resonance Imaging (MRI) has proven very valuable by being a safe, painless, non-invasive exam by utilizing magnetism and radio waves to produce detailed images used to evaluate various parts of the body and determine the presence of certain diseases. All of which may not be visible with other imaging methods such as x-ray, ultrasound or CT (Computed Tomography).*
In the end, all we want to do is treat each patient with individualized care and comfort. To achieve this we will provide a relaxing and calming environment that contains: a choice of music, earplugs and seeping mask to make you feel at home. Magnetic Resonance Imaging (MRI) has proven to be an exceptionally safe and useful tool allowing doctors to diagnose different conditions. It makes use of magnetism and radio waves to create precise images. Our doctors then assess these images of various parts of the body for specific diseases or other problems. MRI succeeds when other various methods, like x-ray, ultrasound, or CT (Computed Tomography), do not have as much success. *
A digital radiography department is also apart of the facility. And in order for the radiologist to analyze bone and some soft tissue anatomy for diagnosis, within the specified medium they are able to digitize the captured images. For proper scoliosis assessment, we also provide Long Length Imaging (LLI).
*The effectiveness of diagnosis and treatment will vary by patient and condition. New York Spine Institute does not guarantee certain results.
