As well as state-of-the-art diagnostics, NYSI diagnostic imaging provides individualized care as well. A high field short bore 1.5T MRI system and Digital Radiography (DX) x-ray for our patients in Jackson Heights is the state-of-the-art diagnostic imaging that New York Spine Institute offers. It makes use of magnetism and radio waves to create precise images. Our doctors then assess these images of various parts of the body for specific diseases or other problems. MRI succeeds when other various methods, like x-ray, ultrasound, or CT (Computed Tomography), do not have as much success. *
A digital radiography department is also apart of the facility. And in order for the radiologist to analyze bone and some soft tissue anatomy for diagnosis, within the specified medium they are able to digitize the captured images. For proper scoliosis assessment, we also provide Long Length Imaging (LLI).
