PHYSICAL THERAPY

When your surgery is over, one of the best things you can do for your health is to enroll in physical therapy. Even if your surgery was minimally invasive, you can’t simply expect to feel better right away.

When you add physical therapy to your recovery program, you’ll be able to aid your movement and mobility, decrease pain, restore function, and limit disability. If you’re in a job that requires you to put constant strain on your neck or back, that may be especially important to you.

The Magnetic Resonance Imaging (MRI) machine was invented in 1977 and has since revolutionized medical practices everywhere. It is a useful, non-invasive, and safe way to help diagnose conditions. Our office in North Highland has state of the art, technologically advanced diagnostic tools. In addition to our 1.5 MRI system, we also have a Digital Radiography (DX) x-ray.

Our high-field short bore 1.5 MRI system supports many clinical situations. We can do MRI scans of the spine, brain, abdomen, pelvis, shoulder, knee, hip, elbow, wrist, ankle, and even the foot!

New York Spine Institute’s brand-new GE 1.5 system will also provide our physicians with their best images yet. With this system, our doctors will be able to see high-quality and detailed pictures of your condition. That way, they can accurately diagnose and eventually treat your back pain.

Magnetic Resonance Imaging (MRI) uses magnetism and radio waves to produce detailed images of the body. It is used all over the world to diagnose multiple conditions. That is because it is extremely safe, non-invasive, and helpful to physicians. Many times, an MRI scan will pick up the presence of a certain disease when other tools such as x-rays cannot.

We know that doctor’s visits can be scary but we don’t think they should be. We want you to feel comfortable and confident in our office. That is why we have made our office in North Highland as relaxing as possible. We have relaxing music, earplugs, and even sleeping masks.
