Whiplash is a neck injury that is due to forceful, rapid back-and-forth movement of the neck, and it’s most commonly caused by rear-end car accidents.
The symptoms of whiplash normally develop within a few days of the injury. They can include:
- Neck pain or stiffness
- Increased pain when you move your neck
- Headaches
- Pain in the shoulder, upper arm or back
- Fatigue or dizziness
