Diagnosing Your Wrist Pain
While the wrist may seem small, it actually contains several bones, muscles, and tissues. To help diagnose your wrist injury, it’s important to have a comprehensive physical examination and to discuss your medical history.*
It’s also helpful to utilize an imaging test when diagnosing wrist pain. An X-ray can help diagnose a fracture or arthritis of the wrist. Or you may require an x-ray followed by a CT scan or MRI, especially when a fracture is not found in an X-ray.*
